Miles Austin wins...for now

Let's hope the "Kardashian Victory luck" gets his team a ninth appearance at the Super Bowl, which will take place at his hometown stadium, "Jerry's World", next year.

By the way, on Tuesday I was gonna write and post this along with the review of the All Star game that the National League finally won and making an WCW/nWo reference to Zydrunas Ilgauskas signing with the Miami Heat to play along with his former teammate Lebron James. Apparently, the site kept messing up like it had a virus or something so I decided to re-make this posting about Miles Austin dating Kim Kardashian, which sucks to me, instead of throwing in other sports to make this into a SportsCenter style posting. Plus she looks so fucking fine in these photos.

Mad Mel: Beyond Belief

This is somewhat of a disclaimer.

I don't think most of you follow celebrity gossip or tabloid journalism or have never met an A-lister before cause either A) You don't have the time and the interest to read what been going on with a popular actor or musician, and B) You don't know them personally, even when they get married or pass away. The reason I say that is cause I live in Los Angeles the entire time, well mostly the San Fernando Valley for 22 years of my life. This city is known for where the films and the music videos are made at, which 60% of it were made in the valley. There are many people out there in small unheard towns in this country, if not, different countries of the world, who are dying or willing to give up their lives just to see their favorite stars in person and from living here, I've had the experience of meeting a portion of them in person, which is really nothing to a Los Angeles citizen.

This is one of the reasons why I always find myself writing about a celebrity or posting a photo on here (which majority of the time is a photo I never shot unless it says JUSTFORSNEAKS ENT. on it) about them. I usually write the events that happened towards myself, but since this month is very slow, I decided to keep this site alive by writing about some interesting current events from my perspective. In fact, this month is so slow that I only took three photos this month. Yes, THREE freakin' photos. Two at Topanga mall on July 1st with a friend of mine, and one of this squirrel on top of a trash bin at Pierce College last week. I usually would've gotten 150 at least by now for this month, but this is pretty much a break from all the crazy events I had to do last month.

Again, to keep this short, I know majority of you don't follow up with celebrity news cause its very obvious that the stars always wind up in some sort of trouble that land thems in court, which TMZ has emphasized this brand of journalism from the past five years. Its coincidental cause one of their first news stories was the Mel Gibson DUI incident from 2006, where he said some inappropriate antisemetic stuff towards the Jewish community to the officer that stopped him after being under arrest.

Fast forward to the present, Mel Gibson is now in trouble again cause he was accused of physically abusing his Russian-American model girlfriend. She recorded both their telephone conversations which the press got a hold of. I wasn't interested in this story at first but after I heard the audio file of the recorded conversation from a link that some random person posted up on Twitter, I couldn't tell if he was rehearsing a screenplay for his next film role or if shit was legit. From the tone of his voice, the dude was going off and I mean he was lashing out to his girlfriend on the phone. He said some to her stuff that would make a guy cry, except me cause I heard some terrible shit people said to me in the past and I'm used to it already.

Bottom Line, Mel Gibson is a celebrity. Celebrities fuck up alot in real life. Therefore, Mel Gibson done fucked up and there were signs that proved it. After hearing the audiotape and the headline of this mess, now we all know what women don't want. A man whose brave enough and has the heart to unleash lethal words and use their parts of the body as weapons. In the end, payback will be a bitch for him.

In the White Heat (jersey) of that Night

Lebron James was just minding his own business by making business signing with Pat Riley's Miami Heat ball club on Friday.

I'm not gonna say very much about all this, which I might by accident. Hell, it took me two days to come up with a title for this since I had 25 different references that go with the words Miami and Heat. I would've titled this "The Miami Rebound Machine", but Gloria Estefan is a season ticket holder for the team. I also would've titled this "Khloe and Kourtney Take Lebron and Bosh to Miami" but Khloe Kardashian-Odom is married and Kourtney Kardashian is a mother so they wouldn't have time to do that, or I could've used "Three C-Heat", but I might still have to have Pat Riley's permission to use that as a title, even though its his team.

I'm gonna wait until I see some performance in the American Airlines Arena that these three will produce on the hardwood court during the regular season. After that, then I'll say what I feel about the team. Plus, that hour long special with a 75 MINUTE COMMERCIAL FREE SPORTSCENTER FOLLOWING THAT wasn't really necessary, but then again, this is about a 25 year old celebrity athlete who signed a $93 million dollar Nike contract (which is more than Michael Jordan's rookie Nike contract) during his start in the pros, which he also gets thrown into major exposure and heated (no pun intended) debates in sports bars and videos on the internet that featured Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan.

Not many people liked his "decision", especially those who followed and looked up to him since day one back in 2003. The first time I heard of Lebron James was right after I came back from spending the first two weeks of June in Nigeria with my family that year. I went to Cleveland High School the month after, which was around the time Kobe got accused in that "incident" in Eagle, Colorado. Everywhere I went around the campus, I'd always see some dude or girl wearing a jersey that says Cleveland on the front and JAMES 23 in the back. I thought it was some student athlete that died during the regular school year, but it was an NBA jersey instead of the school jersey. Keep in mind, I wasn't into the NBA that much back then. I only focused on the Lakers since they were the most talked about team that time, despite being eliminated from the playoffs courtesy of the San Antonio Spurs.

As the months went on later that year during my Sophomore year at Kennedy High, I keep hearing about Lebron everywhere in the newspapers, Sports Illustrated magazines, Nike Commercials, the Laker games (when they had Malone and Payton) I'd be watching whenever Stu Lantz and Paul Sunderland (before he left and got replaced by Joel Meyers cause Paul subbed for the late Chick Hearn after he passed on in 2002) would always bring him up which made me get more interested in the NBA more. The jersey craze was poppin' that year, and people would be wearing different $300 throwback Lebron Cavaliers jerseys along with some Air Force Ones or some Air Zoom Generations, which is his first Nike shoe.

Now that's no longer a reality as people disowned those Lebron Cavaliers' jerseys with lighters and pyromania as well as sneakers being too unaffordable during this recession. Hell, even the owner of the Cavs went off on his ex-player by writing an emotional letter displaying his true colors towards Lebron's decision. Dan Gilbert, the owner of the Cavs, wasn't supposed to do that cause Lebron is legally a free agent and not under contract, but that's how Cleveland sports fans have been displaying their emotions through out the years aside from pro Basketball. If they want to break this "losing curse streak", the town's sports franchises just need to make very smart decisions, which is what the offseason is for. I hope the addition of Bryon Scott as a head coach and his experience in the playoffs of both a head coach and a former player will head adapt to the team, as well as the front office moving on with trying to avoid the loss of attendance revenue for the 2010-11 season. Same goes with the Indians and the Browns front office staff and players. They just need to keep staying focused more than they have been and do what ever they can to erase the doubts and earned the respect they must've had sometime in the past.

Sure, Lebron left his hometown to jump ship all the way down to South Beach and yes, that he upset his fans that grew with him for the past 8 years. To him, its about what he feels its best to just win some games so that he'll probably end those hot topic debates and those "playground bully jokes" on how he doesn't have any rings and that type of shit. Call him whatever you want, but just remember that he was very fortunate enough to get in the pros and got all the perks with that as a underage kid which is no longer valid nowadays in the NBA.

One last thing before I retire for the night on this slow ass weekend. Dwayne Wade should tell Lebron the difference between the white powder he uses for his pre-game ritual at the arenas to the crowd and the "other white powder" South Beach citizens use for their "post-game rituals" at the clubs on Ocean Drive. Shit, I could go on all day with the Miami jokes.

Birthdays are the worst days and so are holidays

First off, its Independence Day today, or "Fourth of July" to not confuse with the Will Smith flick. Then tomorrow its Independence Day II: the vacation version, in which all post offices, banks, courthouses and libraries will be closed tomorrow.

Why an extra holiday? Because certain Americans who are lucky and blessed to have a job (shoutout to those hard workers by the way) will be drunk and way too hungover to fight traffic in their dry-cleaned suits from the previous day that contained Budweisers, Barbecue sauces and sweat from staying up all night long in the waiting room of the ER to wait for the doctors and surgeons to treat their 15-year-old son's hands that was blown up while thinking he can set off a fireworks set he bought in Palmdale. Yeah, great parenting skills, along with your daughter becoming pregnant before her high school senior year and having your son "come out of the closet" are pretty much standard in these certain parts of the United States. Plus they'll also be too hungover to claim a traffic violation in court, too hungover to mail off a package to a your half cousin in New England in the Post Office, too hungover to withdraw that money from your savings in the bank to pay off a bet you lost from a recent World Cup game, and too hungover to stream porn on your Macbook Pro via Wi-Fi in the private study booth at the public library. That's why we, I mean they, got an extra day off on Monday.

Now that I got that out of the way, I wanna bring up something that occurred last Friday. On July 2, Lindsay Lohan just turned 24. On the morning of her birthday, which is 3AM on a Friday, she went to a bar or a restaurant and while she was there she all of a sudden got punched by a waitress who works at the bar or restaurant. After I read the headline at first I though it was just a typical Lindsay Lohan wasted episode of her life, but when they said that its happened on her birthday, of all 364 days in the calendar, I then thought to myself that this is gonna go on for a long time with lawsuits and everything else we get tired off. Now I could say alot about this event, but I already heard enough for the past 5 years.

I'm used to seeing this Lindsay on the cover of the GQ magazine I'm holding when I bought in 11th grade, instead of this current one (I took this photo last week on my webcam) If I had a chance to, I'd go back to 2004, at the premiere of Mean Girls in Hollywood. I'd move past the Paparazzi and the media press, in my Mitchell and Ness Randall Cunningham throwback Eagles Jersey, large oversized Sean John jeans and Funkmaster Flex signature Lugz boots. Security will go up to me and I'll tell them that I need to speak to Lindsay and its really important. I'd bribe them with Lakers tickets (hey, its my fantasy). I'd shove her current ex Wilmer Valderama out of the way, go up to Lindsay, pose for a quick photo and I tell her "Lindasy, as great as you are right now, keep making movies and STAY HOME. Trust me, you won't regret it." After that, I'd pose for another picture and she'd autograph the back of my Sidekick II, which I stole from someone's gift bag while they were setting up the afterparty for the premiere.

At the end, she's a celebrity. Like I said in the past, they're regular people, going through shit we dealt with, only to do outlandish violations just to only get attention and have their publicists sell a story to the press. Now I hope future Disney Channel stars are reading this and taking notes to avoid getting an electronic device monitor attached to one of their legs.

Welcome to the Real World and my new layout

A lot happened on July 1. Fares for the MTA Public Transportation here in Los Angeles goes up. About 300 city workers get pink slips, which really sucks. New laws go into affect among other things.

But I'm not that concerned about the stuff I just mentioned. July 1st is the absolute mid point of the year. Its the midterm of how far you've reached you planned goals and resolutions that you made and should've kept since January 1. Plus its also a time when those who just graduated high school, like my little brother, start enduring the "rest of their lives" in this "wonderful place" we call the Real World. What that means is that once you enter college or a university for that matter, everything that applied to you back in high school, such as being in the Principal's Honor Roll for 4 years or maintaining a 4.1 GPA at the least from 9th grade to 12th grade or the Academic Decathalon award you finally got your school to win, won't even matter once you step into the big leagues. No one is gonna give a shit about the latest trend you wear or your commentary you publish in the University newspaper about saving the lemon orchards next to the campus from being torn down to build a new parking structure. Everyone there is mostly full of themselves just trying to make sure they have all their units matched to their major requirements. They don't have time for any of that extracurricular stuff that's provided by the universities, cause that shit only attracts college freshmen.

Reason being is that the college life is full of people of all ages and walks of life, not just people in their late teens and early twenties. These are the type of people who you'll most likely run into and keep in mind I'm not judging by one particular race, whereas this applies to just about every different type of person. You mostly see:

-Full time mothers
-underage high school kids looking to graduate college at 18 years old
-strippers who will not admit they're strippers
-9 to 5 gen-x'ers who are looking to make more money
-retirees who are bored with their lives
-foreign immigrants who are twice as old as you
-former top execs who got affected by the recession
-a nursing student from an outside vocational school
-a retail store assistant manager who's always late for class
-that one dude who challenges the instructor, and walks him to the car after class to continue the debate
-that one attractive bombshell you keep turning your head to every 4 minutes
-a group of people who's the same age as you that you'll only see in the first two weeks of class and disappear all of a sudden
and other types of people who you'll never expect to see in a high school

So there you have it class of 2010 students. Use great advantage at the school you spent studying your ass off for its SAT requirements and your parents lifesavings that they could've used to by themselves that yacht to use at Marina Del Rey, or that new Mercedes-Benz SL convertible to use while they driving along the coast of the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) during their holidays. Oh and PLEASE don't give your camera or allow cameras at binge drinking frat parties for the risk of those drunk photos of yourself winding up on Facebook with your future employers lurking at your profile as a background check.

Well, onto the next six months.

Oh and by the way, I made a new layout since its been exactly one year that I had this Blogspot. Time is certainty an understatement that shouldn't be taken for granted.
