A LOT OF VERBS THIS PAST WEEKEND

Watched Lost Treasues of NFL Films on Hulu, took photos of an art/music show at Silver Factory Studios in Los Angeles, endured the unanswered rain storm, ate barbecued Ribs and blue Nachos at a Lakers/Celtics viewing party (thanks William and Ginger), spent $2 on Skittles at the Holiday Inn in Burbank to break my $20 bill, and became intrigued on a "Mexican Sports Car" that was brought up from last night's episode of Top Gear.

That's the end of January. Now time for some February, and some picture editing to be done.

SEVENTY FIVE DEGREES OF SEPERATION

That is the average temperature in Sylmar right now, and its winter.

Last night, my house-mates was watching Monday Night Raw in the living room. I got a glimpse of it while I was waiting for my dinner to be cooked, and I surprised that Melina is still there competing in matches with a bunch of other new "Divas" that I don't even know. After that, I went to my room to eat and start working on my other site, with the link down below on the bottom of the page. Then later on, at around 11PM when Monday Night Raw ended, I hear two of my house-mates shouting at each other, which I've never encountered before ever since I've moved to Sylmar back in September last year. Typically, everyone that I live with is cool with each other and they mind their own business, but I assume too much pro-wrestling has intoxicated their minds. Maybe Melina should swing by next Monday to divided my house-mates just in case. Then everyone will be happy.

TWO YEARS ON TWITTER

Exactly, two years ago, I opened a Twitter account.

I created it because earlier that day, my original Facebook account was suspended and that was my main outlet aside from the dilapidating Myspace to express my thoughts. Plus my iWeb page was already expired that time. So I had no choice but to join Twitter. See back then, Twitter wasnt as hyped and crazy as it is now. No businesses had it, only a limited amount of celebrities had one, and it was hardly ever mentioned on the news until that day.

Then Elect-President Barack Obama got sworn in as President of the United States and CNN mentioned on how you can follow his updates on Twitter during the telecast of his swearing in, which I thought it was either him or someone from the Secret Service writing his Twitter profile. I started to like it and went wild on Twitter for a few months despite that no one I knew joined the site or even signed up for it. I met some people over through that site, including this one kid who literally worships Kim Kardashian. I managed to meet him in person and I took him to see his favorite celebrity. After that, the site turned into a you heard it first source where breaking news and deaths, both real and fake, are being mention and raved about on that site.

I had thoughts of deleting the account a few months after I re-joined Facebook, but I decided to keep it to say some observations or some shit thats on my mind in under 140 characters. Its pretty useful if you have a Blackberry or a iPhone or any smartphone device so that you can keep viewers informed wherever you are.

By the way, there hasnt been any decent news or current events today other than those mental cases who went postal at different High Schools blowing off other students and law enforcement civilians. The only news from today thats worth useful to a fifth grader for his or her Current Event assignment is Jesse James being engaged to Hollywood Tattoo artist Kat Von D. Yeah, I didnt want to bring that up, but why would people be interested to being informed about a guy who cheated on the ever talented Sandra Bullock over a Tattoo artist? Whatever, Hollywood is know for its weirdness, and I live 15 miles from there in the San Fernando Valley.

SINCE THE LAST TIME I TYPED ON HERE

I went all the way to downtown Los Angeles to meet the Laker Girls again to sign their 2011 Calendar at the Team LA Store at Staples Center, ate that delicious foot long pizza at the ESPN Zone across the street, got denied a new account at AT&T in Encino, ran into Nick Hogan at Westfield Topanga, bummed a couple of rides to get to my Homegirl's practice session with her band in Reseda, met up with some friends of a friend at California Pizza Kitchen in Northridge, raked leaves at my pop's house for two hours, and rode my brother's bicycle to one of my other friend's house today with Panda Express.

All of that while I had a serious flu with a mild fever of 102 degrees.

But now I'm feeling more improved thanks to all the Vitamin D Orange Juice and all the countless medicines.

I FEEL ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE RIGHT NOW

Its not because of some hot girl or because the Cleveland Cavaliers lost by an unheard of margin of 55 points against the Los Angeles Lakers last night. Just a few hours I woke up, I started feeling warm and my body really aches. It aches so bad, that I can't be able to work and update my other blog page, which the link is at the bottom of this page. I just hope that this flu or weakness goes away. By the way, the reason why I wasn't on last night is that the wix.com servers weren't functioning, which wouldn't give me access to my page. I'm gonna go to bed right now, with my sneakers on.

BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO THE HOMEGIRL AMANDA ANGELLELLA

Honestly, the nicest, kindest, hardest working woman I've ever met. One of a kind. Enjoy your 23rd birthday.

AFTER ONE WEEK INTO THE NEW YEAR

We've witnessed a homeless man scoring a radio job over bunch of broadcast journalist major graduates whom are soul searching for for a job, a black teenager showing the whole world on video what happens if the word "Facebook" enters his Uncle's vocabulary by literally getting his ass whooped by him about the activities he does on that site, and a mental case by the name of Jared Lee Loughner goes postal in Tucson, Arizona by sending a congress woman to the hospital and taking the life of a kid who was born on September 11, 2001.

I'll just pretend none of that happened as I continue to make money and enjoy Nu Shooz's Told U So album I downloaded. Thank Mann's "Buzzin'" track that my brother kept playing on Saturday night during my sister's 16th birthday party. Yeah, I don't know who Mann is either, but the beat on that song came from Nu Shooz's "I Can't Wait".

TO ALL THOSE FEMALES WHO OVER-WORSHIP TEENAGE POP STARS

Please don't use death treats towards the girl that your favorite celebrity is "dating" or having a photoshoot with, or whatever of that kind of nature. Death is not a play thing. To be honest, you're NEVER gonna get a chance with the both of y'all being together for Heaven knows how long. Think about it for a second, you do whatever it is with him and then what? It gets dry boring after that and plus, the said celebrity has to work everyday. To make it even from a male's perspective, all the hot attractive actresses and models that I used to think about every 2 seconds are now part time and full time mothers. There goes my chance of poppin' their cherries and I'm not to concerned about it... well a little bit.

Speaking of teenagers, I have to go to my pop's house later on cause my little sister has invited a multitude of her friends for her sixteenth birthday party over there. First time ever a non-Nigerian party is being thrown there featuring a bunch of Juveniles expecting to to be disrespectful, and that's where my task as a chaperon gets thrown in. Its gonna be a challenge.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORDS

As I'm in the hunt for a new mobile device and trying to get back into the cellular smartphone game, which is unofficially required to make contacts and acquaintances nowadays, this decision has just plagued me for a while. I can't beleive I'm actually saying this... but should I get the Blackberry Torch or the iPhone 3GS for 50 dollars? No Andrioids please, way out of my price range.

MY UNCLE IN CHICAGO GAVE ME $25 TODAY VIA MY MOMS (HER BROTHER)

I used a third of it on a roll of Kodak 200 Speed Film from CVS as well as 2 Double Cheeseburgers, 2 Tacos and a 21 OZ. drink at Burger King in Sylmar. Guilty Pleasures.

WHAT DID I PREFER BETTER TODAY?

Taking a picture of Erin Andrews at the Grove with my 35mm SLR camera or the short cute Spanish waitress at the Johnny Rockets in Encino named Yaneth who I left her 3 dollars in tips? Women are everywhere.

I'VE BEEN GETTING TOO MUCH FREE STUFF. OTHER PEOPLE DESERVE IT MORE THAN ME

If I want something for free, I'll let you know. My birthday is an exception where you can surprise me on that day. If you are going to surprise me on the Fifth of March, make sure whatever you getting me is a blonde, cameras that has the word Nikon on it, and don't get me a gift card that doesn't have the word VISA on it. Thank you.

The First Post of 2011 From My Website

Welcome to my new website, and the fourth edition of my Random Shots blogposts. I always wanted to open up another website since my last one was closed thanks to the my mobileme contract being expired. After that, I started to express my thoughs on Twitter and Google's Blogger during the meantime in 2009. During that time, I was planning on looking for another site to create and publish my webpage until around last month when I browsed through Michael Blank's, one of my high school classmates from Filmmaking, photography website, and started using the tools that he used on his to create this site.

Now I'm still trying to get used to this more. The only difference between my previous blogpage and this is that on here, I can do a lot more that I can on Blogger, in terms of posting photos and some links. Also, I'll be focusing on this site more and I'll try to update it everyday.

Later on throughout the months, you'll see some improvements which will make you wanna check back to this site everyday. I'll still do some birthday shoutouts, posts of some pictures with some one liners that ties into the day's currents, and links to other blogs sites among other things as well. Like I said, it'll take some time to get used to on here.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and I wish, hope, and pray the best for all the readers on here a safe, sucessful year in 2011. Just keep on checking back on here everyday to see what I have in store. By the way, shoutout to Michael Blank for giving me the idea to publish this site.

2010 Year in Review: Final Thoughts and Final Post

I really wanted to write this last night on New Years Eve, but I had a photoshoot to do, pictures to edit in the last minute and I was at a New Years Party which literally didn't stop until I left there morning at 7AM. By the way, shoutout to Tianna Edmonson and Marlene De La Torre for hosting it and throwing it down like always that night. It was really great and I never expected it to last that long. Right now, I just woke up and really feel tired and shit.

But I need to write this post because I need to break down the ear in review and what's going to happen in the next year.

I know I've said this before, but New Years Day is not really a Holiday. It just pretty much a symbol to let people re-do themselves for the next 365 days. It pretty much like a brand new month once January 1 arrives (well it is anyway but I'm using it as an example)but only more "grand-er". The only difference this year was that it was held at a Saturday instead of a weekday, which give those who were heavily intoxicated a longer time to get hungover.

I didn't drink on New Years Eve cause I don't drink. Shit, I watching the movie Notorious on Cinemax with Marlene's family at the place which made me stay longer. That movie was interesting and I wish I saw it at theaters this past year. They pretty much broke down the last final day of the Notorious B.I.G.'s life that took place on March 8, 1997, 3 days after I turned Nine years old. I remember my family celebrated my birthday at the McDonald's in the Panorama Mall that night, but I could've picked a better night. But back to the film, its was surreal to watch and hear what Biggie Smalls character was saying about the stuff and plans he had after the Source Awards party in LA that night, both in the film and real life, including the release of his album Life After Death, which the title was very coincidental to his assassination and the backlash of it. I might get it on Blu-Ray when I get the chance.

Before the party, I did a photoshoot for my friend Darlene's boyfriend's sister at El Cariso Park and LA Mission College, which turned out great. I was originally planning doing it at Veteran's Park close by, but I decided to do it at a broader place since El Cariso is much lighter than Veteran's Park. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Now onto the recap of the year.

Honestly, it turned out a much better year than I thought is was, despite some of the bullshit that took place in 2010 I had to deal with. Unlike previous years, I did a lot of stuff that I thought I would never do and met alot of new interesting people which I still keep in touch with. It felt great. It really did. I didn't let 2010 turned out interesting, I made it interesting. I was gonna write a lot of paragraphs about all the shit, both good and bad, that took place that year, but I'll write it in a "shopping list" style so that I won't lose the reader's interest. Some of it will sound weird and off-color, but like I always say, it never hurts to try something new.

-Kesha's album release party at Lucky Strike

-All the girls I met at all the Kim Kardashian meet and greets

-My homeboy Ryan Castro and I visiting Tila Tequila's old house in the Hollywood Hills for a garage sale she did. Yes, a garage sale

-Crashing into a fraternity/sorority co-ed party in at a Carson hotel

-The opening of the J.W. Marriott/Ritz Carlton hotel in downtown Los Angeles

-almost getting my ass arrested in front of everone inside the Central Library for taking photos at the Bonaventure Hotel. Thankfully the Kim Kardashian photos I took that were saved on my camera made those undercover LAPD officers let me leave with a warning

-Chick Hearn's statue unveiling and my many trips to LA Live that year

-doing security at Coachella and getting free admission (that should be on the top of the list)

-watching Julia Louis Dreyfuss' reaction in person when she saw her name being misspelled on her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame

- working as a photographers assistant at The University of Southern California and watching all the rich ass students get their degrees. That could've been me right there in the cap and gown if I played my cards right back in high school with those SATs.

-the entire NBA Finals, including being there at the scene outside Staples Center for Game 1, watching game 7 with hundreds of other people and the Lakers Parade with my high school mate Chris Romero

-test driving the new 5 Series at Nick Alexander BMW in Huntington Park and a bunch of other nice whips that year

- my brother's and cousin's graduation from high school

- meeting NFL Hall of Famers Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and a lot of other retired legends at the Madden NFL celebrity Flag Football event, even though I almost got the game for free

-Drake's Thank Me Later album. Thanks Stephen

-Rick Ross' Telefon Don. Dude earned my respect as my new favorite rapper.

-Thanks Amanda and Frank for the trips to the Chavez Ravine to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers entertain fans. There will be more of that in 2011. Lots more

- Robert Frost Middle School Class of 2002 reunion at the Sugar Suite in Granada Hills.

-my homeboy Jeremy and I attending a taping of the US version Top Gear

-starting acquaintances with Nicole Stetter in August and the rest of the year was history

There might be some other stuff that I didn't put in but these are the ones that I stand out mostly throughout this past year. From looking back it really hard to say that year was not enjoyable. Again, I glad I finally got a chance and opportunity to do those things cause since the beginning of the year and prior to the year as well I thought I wasn't gonna get to touch those moments. But yet I did and I can't stress out and emphasize how much that year has been great despite the drama and negativity.

This will be the last post I'm gonna make on here in Google's Blogger site. After this, all the blogs I will be making this year will go on to my new website. So this Random Shots 3.1 site will be retired after a year and a half of sharing my thoughts on here. It still will be active in which y'all can read my previous posts that I wrote on here since July 1, 2009, but I won't be typing on here anymore. The new site will be much better and for those of you who have known me around 2008 knew that I had a legit website during that year which was made with Apple's iWeb software. This new site will be operated using the wix.com website building service. MAJOR, major shout to everyone who I met and kept in touch with and those who have been reading my thoughts and posts for these 18 months. A lot has changed since then.

Here's the link to the new site. I'll have it stared by next week and I'll make it interesting, with a lot more words and pictures. I've been planning this for the past year. Hope y'all enjoy it. By the way, 95 percent of the photos you will see on the site will be TAKEN BY ME.

Thanks for taking your time to read these posts on this site. Enjoy the best in 2011 and DON'T JUST LET THE YEAR BE GREAT, MAKE IT A FUCKING GREAT YEAR!
